Todd Nelson guided the Hershey Bears to a record-breaking ninth consecutive playoff series win in the AHL this past weekend.
The former NHL defenseman is now in his third season as the Bears’ head coach, having led the team to back-to-back Calder Cup titles in his first two years.
Given his remarkable success in Hershey and the six NHL teams still searching for a head coach, Todd Nelson’s name is increasingly being mentioned as a potential interview candidate this summer.
One of those teams is the Vancouver Canucks, and CHEK’s Rick Dhaliwal recently expressed his belief that Nelson is “in the mix” for the position.
