Philadelphia Phillies utility player Weston Wilson is currently rehabbing with Low-A Clearwater after suffering an oblique injury during spring training.
His rehab stint can last until April 28 at the latest. After that, he’ll either be added to the Phillies’ 26-man roster or optioned to the minors.
Since this is Wilson’s final minor league option year, he would likely be sent to Triple-A Lehigh Valley if not kept in the majors.W
ith Kody Clemens out of minor league options and likely to be claimed off waivers if designated for assignment, the team may prefer to send Wilson to Triple-A upon his return.
