A Biography of the Quarterback by ESPN’s Seth Wickersham, the 2022 Heisman Trophy winner and his father, Carl Williams, explored ways to influence which team would draft him.
They consulted lawyers to find possible loopholes in the NFL’s collective bargaining agreement, looked into the possibility of signing with the United Football League,
and even considered speaking out against Chicago and the Bears to make it difficult for the team to pick him.
