Aaron Rodgers’ Interest in Vikings Hints at Lack of Desire to Join Steelers
As the NFL Draft nears, Aaron Rodgers’ future remains uncertain, and it’s becoming increasingly clear that the Pittsburgh Steelers may have miscalculated their offseason quarterback plans.
With Justin Fields and Russell Wilson both leaving in free agency, the Steelers are down to Mason Rudolph and are exploring options like drafting Shedeur Sanders, Jaxson Dart, or Will Howard. However, their main target for months has been Aaron Rodgers.
Despite some reported interest in Pittsburgh, Rodgers appears to be weighing other opportunities. In fact, he reportedly made a direct pitch to the Minnesota Vikings, proposing himself as a one-year solution who could guide the team to a Super Bowl while mentoring young QB J.J. McCarthy, who missed last season due to an ACL injury.
This move suggests Rodgers may be more invested in a potential short-term run with the Vikings than committing to the Steelers, leaving Pittsburgh in an uncertain spot.
